Katrina Crook is an enthusiastic mining engineer with extensive site-based experience in several commodities and mining methods. Katrina holds a NSW Certificate of Competence as Production Manager of an Underground Mine and is employed by Rio Tinto in Brisbane as Principal Advisor in the Underground Centre of Excellence.
Katrina has been an active AusIMM member for over 20 years where she has contributed on several committees including the Underground Operators Conference since 2017, the Southern Queensland Branch since 2013 where she is immediate Past Chair, and currently is an elected member of the Mining Society.
Katrina will be an asset to the board as she strengthens the professional skills and leadership opportunities offered by AusIMM and ensures education and training programs deliver the skillsets required for mining engineers of the future.
