Become a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or Victoria (RPEV) through AusIMM's assessment scheme

AusIMM is one of the few organisations providing an assessment scheme to assess engineers applying to become Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ) or Victoria (RPEV). AusIMM's RPEQ/RPEV assessment follows the same peer recognition and assessment of competence process as the Chartered Professional program.

AusIMM also provides an assessment and recommendation to the Board of Professional Engineers Queensland (BPEQ). Once the assessment is complete, the applicant must apply directly to the BPEQ for registration.

Who is eligible to apply?

Review the Chartered Professional Regulations and Guidelines to ensure you meet the eligibility criteria as specified in Chartered Professional Regulation 11-16 (RPEQ assessment).

How much is the RPEQ/RPEV assessment fee?

The fees below are for a RPEQ/RPEV assessment and recommendation only. Following assessment and a positive recommendation by AusIMM, you must apply directly to the BPEQ for registration.

• AusIMM Member or Fellow (Not yet CP) $616 (incl GST)
• AusIMM Non-Member $726 (incl GST)
• Abridged Application $363 (incl GST)

*If you are applying for RPEQ or RPEV and wish to apply for Chartered Professional (CP) at the same time, there is no additional charge.
