Registrations are now open for the AusIMM Adelaide Branch Annual Dinner 2021 featuring guest speaker Associate Professor Alice Gorman, who will be presenting: “Mining the Moon: a space archaeologist's perspective”.
About this event
Alice Gorman is an internationally recognised leader in the field of space archaeology. Her research on space exploration has been featured in National Geographic, New Scientist, and Archaeology magazine.
Her book Dr Space Junk vs the Universe: Archaeology and the Future (NewSouth Publishing, MIT Press, 2019) won the NIB Award People's Choice and the John Mulvaney Book Award, as well as being shortlisted for the NSW and Queensland Premier's Awards and the Adelaide Festival Awards.
The evening will also include Award presentations to members and students, door prizes, excellent South Australian food and wine and much more.
The Annual Dinner is the premier event on the Adelaide AusIMM social calendar, so make sure you get your bookings in early; confirmation only on receipt of payment.
