AGM and Social Networking Sunset Dinner at Capel Vale Winery Restaurant
Join us to celebrate 2021 as another successful AusIMM Branch year.
About this event
Branch Chair Morrie Goodz will provide an annual overview of South West WA branch activities.
We will reflect on the year in a relaxed sunset setting overlooking magnificent gardens, lagoon and vineyard.
There will be short formal AGM while partners take in all the vineyard has to offer.
Members wishing to be part of the organising Branch Committee for the 2022 Event Calendar and being involved in Policy / Advocacy Development, can complete a Nomination Form and return it to SouthwestWA@AusIMM.com by Friday 19th November.
The Stirling Estate Vineyard in Capel sits on the banks of the Capel River and produces brilliant Merlot and Malbec grapes. This vineyard was planted (at the time 1974) in the state of the art Lyre Bird trellis system. Along the coast of the Indian Ocean between Busselton and Perth, is a coastal limestone plain over which run a small number of rivers into the sea.
“…the region enjoys a very mild climate with a strong Mediterranean influence.”
Along the river banks are deposits of rich, red alluvial soil, approximately five metres deep, which lie over a limestone base. Capel Vale’s Stirling vineyard is situated on this terroir. The steady rain fall and consistent sea breezes contribute to a longer growing season for the vines helping to extend flavour and contribute to a balanced wine.
