About this event

Being held directly after the Underground Operators Conference, the event gives both locals and visitors to Adelaide a fantastic opportunity to meet one another while hearing about the geological features and terroir of one of South Australia's finest wine regions.

Join us for a relaxed and informal gathering, the perfect setting to connect with fellow AusIMM members and other industry professionals

This event held in conjunction with d’Arenberg wines is designed to enhance your knowledge of the terroir of McLaren Vale wine region, to taste some d’Arenberg wines under the expert direction of Chief Winemaker Chester Osborn, and explore the taste characteristics of the wines that reflect the terroir.

d’Arenberg Chief Winemaker and Viticulturist, Chester Osborn, is the fourth generation of the Osborn family to grow grapes and make wine on the McLaren Vale property purchased by Joseph Osborn.  Chester continues his family’s winemaking tradition, utilising the vineyards, original cellars and the traditional winemaking techniques handed down by his forefathers.  Chester’s philosophy is to make wines that have fragrant fruit character, with palate structure showing long balanced and vibrant tannins and soil and geology characters.
