About this event

Bring together your teams and enjoy networking opportunities, drinks, nibbles, and a thought provoking tech talk from Tung Le, Senior Mining Consultant at Deswik.

This tech talk will address the critical challenge of closure planning in the mining industry, a growing priority for mining companies worldwide. As mining operations age, understanding and planning for closure is essential for making sound business decisions and meeting social and environmental responsibilities. This case study will provide attendees with insights into the development of an integrated life of asset and closure planning process, designed for application globally across different commodities, enabled through Deswik software.

Tung Le has over 12 years of mine planning experience, with particular strengths in rehabilitation and closure planning. He played a key role in designing the reshape execution plan at Dawson mine. Tung has also led and contributed to Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Planning (PRCP) submissions at Oaky Creek, Capcoal, and Dawson. Over the past 18 months, he has had a central role in the development of a standardised integrated closure planning process, adaptable across different commodities and regions.
