Annual Meeting and Technical Talk: The Champion Project - A hunting ground for hypergiant mineral deposits?
Join the Central Victoria Branch for the Annual Meeting and tech talk in February.
About this event
The AusIMM Central Victoria Branch will be holding their Annual Meeting in February, followed by a technical talk presentation from Dr Kris Butera on 'The Champion Project: A hunting ground for hypergiant mineral deposits?'
Technical Talk
Kris will present the story of Plutonic’s Champion Project – the history of the project, the work undertaken to date, the key prospects that have been generated and the importance of the upcoming inaugural drilling program due to commence mid-2025.
An initial search for Proterozoic IOCG deposits has evolved into a discovery drive focused on Tasmanide-aged epithermal and porphyry (and possible IRGS/orogenic) systems across a desert landscape brimming with veins and alteration footprints over an extremely large scale. Will the Champion project deliver the next generation of Tier-1 gold-copper systems in Australia?
Program:

6.00pm - 7.00pm: BBQ Dinner and drinks
7.00pm - 8.00pm: Annual Meeting and tech talk presentation
