Fine wine or snake oil? Discerning the value of novel comminution and classification technologies
As the mining industry explores new and innovative comminution and classification technologies, the potential for reducing energy consumption, enhancing liberation, and cutting costs is enticing.
About this event
However, separating the "fine wine" technologies from the "snake oil" is a challenge that metallurgists and engineers face every day. This webinar will delve into the critical aspects of evaluating and testing new technologies to ensure their true value is recognised and optimised.
In this informative and engaging session, Dr Grant Ballantyne will outline the key factors to consider when evaluating new comminution and classification technologies. Drawing on his extensive experience in the field, Grant will walk attendees through a structured approach to assessing these technologies, emphasising the importance of early-stage evaluation and common pitfalls to avoid.
Participants will gain insights into the nine critical aspects that need to be considered and tested early when developing or assessing the value of a new technology:
Join us for a session that promises to sharpen your ability to discern which technologies will deliver true value and which may need further refinement before scaling up.
