About this event

This field trip will give technical and operational context for New Hope’s flagship mine Bengalla, located near Muswellbrook.

Bengalla is a modern, highly productive, environmentally responsible Open Cut coal mine in the Upper Hunter Valley.

Come and learn how the mining and processing systems work and gain insights into why Bengalla has been such a successful operation for so long. The visit, hosted by Senior Managers of the operation, will include an overview of the operation and processing streams and also a field trip to see the operation.

3.50pm: Delegates arrive at Bengalla Visitor Carpark and sign in
4.00pm: Site overview, safety briefing, PPE allocation
4.30pm: Field trip and mine site visit
6.00pm: Site visit conclusion and departure
6.30pm: Light meal and drinks provided in Muswellbrook (Venue to TBC)
