Chris Pitman
Chris joined Ausenco in 2019 as the Director of Engineering in Toronto before taking on the role of Vice President for our Eastern Canada region. In November 2022, he relocated back to Australia to assume the role of Vice President, QLD where he oversees the operations of the Brisbane office.
Prior to joining Ausenco, Chris built his career as a Mechanical Engineer working on projects and studies of varying size, from small brownfield expansions to large greenfield EPC and EPCM projects. He has extensive experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams on studies and projects across several commodities, including gold, alumina, iron ore and polymetallic plants.
Chris enjoys building lasting relationships and understanding the unique challenges every project faces. He thrives on solving these challenges and maximising project value. He is committed to developing talented teams, then challenging and empowering them to find a better way.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical & Space) with Honours from the University of Queensland. He is also a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC) and a Project Management Professional with PMI.
