About this event

The AusIMM North West Queensland Branch and Metallurgical Society is proud to present MetFest! Cloncurry in 2025. 

MetFest! events bring together teams of regional metallurgists, process engineers and other associated professionals for a unique day of networking and professional development. This will be the second MetFest! to be hosted in the North-West Qld region!

MetFest! Cloncurry will be a full two-day event commencing on Thursday 10th April with a guided tour of Evolution’s Ernest Henry Mine concentrator followed by a networking function in the evening (further details to follow). Friday 11th April will feature a series of engaging technical presentations followed by a networking hour. The official program for the technical day will be released closer to the event.

Call for Abstracts

We like to extend the invite to all regional professionals in the North-West Qld area who would like to showcase short technical talks on troubleshooting concentrator operations, project win/losses and any interesting projects in the works.

Submit your 300 word abstract for presentations to the organising committee at jack.lauder@glencore.com.au or michael.celona@glencore.com.au.
