Paul Mitchell

Paul is EY Global Mining & Metals Leader. In his role, he is focused on helping build capability and drive growth across our key accounts and regions and driving the alliance strategy for the sector.

He has over 20 years of experience providing mining and metals Consulting services to clients around the globe. His skills include developing corporate, operational and IT strategies, profit enhancement, performance improvement, post-merger integration, financial and operational management. He received a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from The University of Western Australia.

How Paul is building a better working world - “In my work with clients, I focus on how they can meet the world’s growing need for materials and how to prepare them for the commodity demands of the future. Being a cyclical business means that minimizing variability is important to maintaining competitive advantage. I help clients identify the right strategies for their businesses and map this against where they need to head.”
