About this event

Following on from the prior years’ very successful and sold out WIMnet NSW Leadership Days, this year’s Leadership Day workshops aim to:

1. Empower Attendees: Equip participants with the internal leadership skills necessary to advance into higher leadership positions.
2. Develop Leadership Skills and Networks: Enhance leadership capabilities while fostering connections among women and men in the industry.

We are pleased to announce that this year the Leadership Day series will run in 3 locations, Dubbo, Wollongong and the Hunter, with identical session content run in each location for consistency of message, delivery and outcomes. If you cannot attend the date in your local area, you are more than welcome to attend the workshop at one of the other locations.

The face-to-face interactive workshops will be facilitated by expert coach Suzy Miller, who is an award winning, highly regarded professional in the field of executive and leadership development.

Suzy will take the group through her “Leading You, Leading Up” program, which is delivered over 3 sessions throughout the day. Key topics include Leading Your Mindset, Leading You With EQ and Leading and Managing Up. 

Our inspirational speaker at the Hunter Region event is an Australian Female Olympian to coincide with the Olympic year: Sarah Cali - Olympic Hurdler.

9.10am - 10.25am: Session 1: Leading your mindset 
10.25am - 10.30am: Quick stretch
10.30am - 12.00pm: Session 2: Leading you with EQ 
12.00pm - 12.45pm: Lunch 
12.45pm - 1.45pm: Session 3: Leading and managing up 
1.45pm - 2.45pm: Guest speaker / Q&A 
2.45pm - 3.00pm: WIMnet NSW closing

Sarah Carli

Olympian - Hurdler

Sarah Carli is an Australian track and field athlete who specializes in the 400 metres hurdles. In December 2020 she ran a new PB of 55.09 and in doing so gained herself an Olympic qualification time for the Tokyo Olympics. However, unfortunately, Sarah sustained a life-threatening injury while training in the gym in February 2021, putting her Olympic preparations to a halt. Following surgery and a long 4-month rehabilitation process Sarah was medically cleared to return to full training just 6 weeks before the Olympics, running fifth in her 400m hurdles heat.

Continuing her comeback Sarah ran a new personal best of 54.66 in Turku Finland in June of 2023, just two years after her nearly career ending injury. With all eyes on the 2024 Paris Olympics Sarah plans to be there in career best shape.
