Event recap - New Zealand Branch - 2020 NZ Branch Conference
Since 1976 the New Zealand Branch has delivered an annual conference to promote the New Zealand minerals industry and The AusIMM, and to meet the challenge of engaging with Branch members spread throughout the country. Typically, our conference has been attended by delegates representing all parts of the minerals sector. The conference covers research, exploration, mining, environment, and legislation and topical issues relevant to the New Zealand mineral resources scene. The conference location generally alternates between the North and South Island each year.
For 2020, the NZ Branch has partnered with Titanium Events Limited (Freeman Media and Straterra) to deliver the 2020 New Zealand Minerals Forum. The forum is now scheduled to be held as an in-person event at the Claudelands Event Centre in Hamilton, 13-14 October. Branch Conference Proceedings
The AusIMM Library currently contains NZ Branch Conference proceedings up to and including 2008. Proceedings from 1972, 1974 and 1975 are not available. NZ Branch conference proceedings from the period 2009-2018 have recently been collated and will be added to the Library when the new AusIMM website comes on-line. Currently we do not have a firm date for this. It is anticipated that as with the existing proceedings, the 2009-2018 proceedings will be available for down-load at no cost to NZ Members.
