Ben Laidler

Director of Battery and Critical Mineral Industries, Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (WA)

Ben is the Director of Western Australia’s Battery and Critical Minerals team at the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation. He brings with him eight years of public policy experience with the Western Australian Government. Ben has principally worked on industry development and energy policy matters. Prior to heading up the Battery and Critical Minerals team, he spent three years leading WA Domestic Gas Policy agreement negotiations. Ben has a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Australia.
