Fiona Robertson AM

Non-Executive Director - MA (Oxon) Geology, FAICD, FAusIMM

A professional non-executive director specialising in the resources sector, Fiona has over 45 years’ experience in corporate finance, including 35 years working with emerging and mid-tier mining and oil & gas companies as a banker, CFO and non-executive director, guiding growth-oriented resource companies through major transitions. Her executive experience spans exploration, development and operational projects across Australia, North America, Africa and Asia. 

She is currently a Non-executive Director of ASX-listed Whitehaven Coal, Bellevue Gold and 29Metals, chairing the Audit & Risk Committee for each while also serving on committees covering health, safety & sustainability, governance, nomination and remuneration.  Prior NED roles include ASX-listed Drillsearch Energy Limited (2009-2016). 

Fiona has been an active member of the leadership team of WIMnet, the AusIMM’s Women in Mining Network, chairing WIMnet NSW from 2012 to 2015, and leading the establishment of its award-winning mentoring program, now in its tenth year.  She remains a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in optimizing workforce effectiveness, and proponent of creating pathways to enhance diversity in corporate leadership.
