I’ve been very fortunate to work with amazing people, diverse cultures, and local communities.  I’ve learned that new opportunities and solutions come from valuing inclusion, trusted relationships, and a space for different ideas and perspectives.

The positive changes you create today impacts not just the now, but also the future. We need to be the change we want to see, to lead by example and create those diverse environments where everyone can thrive. Our colleagues, friends and family and future generations are counting on us.

Brooke Adamson

Ore Processing Manager - Final Product, Newmont

Teams that leverage diversity and empower each other are the most successful teams. Sustainable change isn’t achieved solely by systems and policies, it requires passionate diversity advocates and allies at all levels of the organisation to create an inclusive culture where individuals feel like they belong and can bring their whole selves to work.

Lisa Baptista

Global Head of Technical Portfolio, BHP & Global lead for Jasper

Power and privilege demand responsibility - not just to lead, but to advocate, sponsor, and uplift those whose voices often go unheard. By helping others rise, we strengthen the collective, and the rewards far surpass the effort. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else.

Odette Patterson

Group Manager, Workforce Resourcing & Recruitment, Whitehaven Coal

Paramount to positive change is having the conversation. Demonstrating the courage to lead the conversation whilst creating environments that unlock diverse voices to be heard. Empowering others to disrupt their norm will inspire others to value and understand women’s participation and provide equal opportunities.
