Heidi Reynders

Principal Dam Engineer, BHP

Heidi is a civil/geotechnical engineer with over 20 years of experience working on geotechnical and civil engineering projects in Australia and Africa.  She has a Master of Engineering degree in geotechnical engineering from the University of Pretoria which focused on gold mine tailings. Heidi has worked on a wide range of mine tailings and water storage facility projects which included geotechnical investigations, design and construction, seepage and stability assessments, cover design, instrumentation monitoring, hazard identification, external reviews, dam safety and annual inspections. Her primary experience is work conducted with regards to tailings storage facilities but she also has experience of civil works. Heidi is currently the Principal Dam Engineer at BMA providing governance and technical stewardship for their tailings and water storage facilities.
