Symon's specialist knowledge combined with his broader understanding of business economics and strategy has resulted in key roles within peer review and due diligence teams. Symon has developed a career combining consulting skills (having worked with companies such as Golder Associates) with experience gained working for large mining companies (Rio Tinto). Particular value in Symon's work stems from the application of his strong civil/geotechnical engineering background to the Project Management of large mining infratructure civil works to meet the client's expectations. Symon's experience includes office-based design and site based operational roles, giving an all-round understanding of delivery expectations. Symon is now the Director of Red Earth Engineering, a consultancy that targets to employ "super-stars" of the industry to deliver value to clients.
