MAusIMM(CP), Chair, AusIMM Southern QLD Branch

I’m currently the Southern QLD Branch Chair and Social Licence Committee Member for AusIMM. In this role I lead one of the largest AusIMM branches in Australasia, which represents over 2,200 resource industry professionals. My focus is to drive AusIMM’s competitive edge and build ongoing industry recognition.

As a mining and technology specialist, I’ve worked for Teir 1 Mining companies including BHP and Rio Tinto in a variety of roles that have included Production, Engineering, Technology Development and Innovation and Safety.

Most recently a senior member of Rio Tinto’s integrated operations team, and BHP’s Technology team, developing their advanced mining systems, my operational expertise and detailed understanding of key business processes has enabled the gap between operations and technology teams to be bridged, leading to improved performance, better management of risk, higher cyber security, improved database storage, simpler data accessibility and end user usability of systems.
