Paul O’Grady

Group Manager Technical Services, Glencore Coal Assets Australia

Paul O’Grady graduated with a degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Wales, College of Cardiff in 1986 and attained a PhD in 1990. In 1990 he emigrated to Australia and joined the geotechnical consultancy Barret Fuller and partners where he remained until 1995.

Paul joined Oakbridge as a Mining Engineer at Clarence Colliery in 1997. Since then Paul has worked for MIM, Anglo American, and BHP. This has included 12 years as a mine site Technical Services manager. Paul joined Xstrata (now Glencore) in 2009 and has been the Group Manager for Technical Services at Glencore Coal Assets Australia since 2014.
