These studies have been undertaken for pit and underground mines, complex minerals processing streams and marketing channels, spanning almost all commodities.
As a recognised thought leader on mining optimisation, Gerald delivers the Whittle Consulting Integrated Strategic Planning seminar. Over the past 10 years, over 4,800 mining professionals have attended these seminars which challenge conventional thinking, revealing substantial opportunities for value enhancement for current or planned mining and minerals processing operations. Gerald is also a qualified accountant with over 40 years of international business experience in business planning, analysis and change management.
Since 1999, Whittle Consulting have worked with the international mining industry to assist with the optimisation of mining projects and operations.
The Whittle Consulting team has technical expertise in a range of disciplines including geology, mining engineering, metallurgy, research, mathematics, computing, finance, operational/financial modelling and analysis. As experts in embracing and harnessing complexity, Whittle Consulting is not bound by traditional thinking. By challenging existing paradigms and conventional wisdom, the real potential of a mining business is revealed.
Since 1999, Whittle Consulting has conducted over 180 Enterprise Optimisation studies for major, mid cap and junior mining companies. These studies have included pit and underground mines, complex minerals processing steams and marketing channels, spanning almost all commodities. These studies have repeatedly demonstrated that the comprehensive application of Whittle Integrated Strategic Planning and the concepts from the highly regarded Whittle Integrated Strategic Planning Seminar improves the economics of a mining project or operation from 5 %-35%, and in many cases substantially more. These results are achieved even after conventional mining optimisation techniques have been applied.
