Keynote presentation: Improving safety to unlock resource value: the role of the geotechnical engineer in the 2020s

Neil provides practical, cost effective and innovative geotechnical engineering solutions and has a diverse range of engineering and related experience in mining, tunnelling and civil engineering projects across Australia and abroad. He has held senior engineering and management roles in several major mining companies including Rio Tinto, Ok Tedi Mining, and BHP and has experience in in Au, Ag, Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb and Zn commodities. In 2014 he co-founded Gecko Geotechnics to provide specialist consulting services pertaining to rock engineering.
