AusIMM is continuing the momentum and hosting the second Resources Education Collaboration Summit.

In partnership with the Victorian Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions we will bring together key industry leaders, government representatives and Australia’s higher education institutions to discuss pathways for co-operation as the resources sector works to meet the challenges of the future workforce, both evolving and constant.

This Summit follows on from recommendations made at the first Summit held in 2019 in Melbourne which resulted in the delivery of a publicly available report, highlighting recommendations for consideration. This October we will continue to explore new approaches and deliverables for the industry to tackle in an open, consultative way.

Online delivery

Delivered online over two half days, the 2021 Summit will feature leading voices presenting insightful perspectives on key topics that will provide a basis for hands on workshops. A full program will be available soon.These workshops will facilitate discussions and ideas from participants with a focus on providing tangible solutions and next steps. This event will be moderated by PwC.

In the new COVID-19 normal, interactive conversations over great distances has never been easier. Using enhanced digital technology, we can keep the conversation flowing through a high-definition live stream event. With distance no longer a necessary consideration, AusIMM is looking forward to welcoming an even greater diversity of representatives from across Australia.
