Jo holds an honours degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Jo has worked in operational, technical, HSE, strategic study and executive leadership roles for 25 years. She also has experience as a leader in several industry bodies and is an active mentor.

Most recently Jo led the Resource Engineering Excellence team at BHP, focussed on the integration of technical disciplines and functional areas.

Her current role is the Global Practice Lead Technical Capability. In this she leads the strategic development and delivery of a robust geoscience and resource engineering talent pipeline.
