Dan McLaughlin is WSP’s Vice President Global Mining Clients, supporting the delivery of engineering and project management services to the world’s largest resources companies. 

He has 30 years’ experience in all phases of the mining life cycle from M&A due diligence, exploration, greenfield projects, operations through to closure in operational, regional and global corporate roles. He has applied his environmental, social, risk and closure management skills in multiple settings, and helped guide some of the world’s largest organisations through complex and challenging scenarios, including five years leading BHP’s technical response in Brazil following the Samarco tailings dam failure.
