Joanne Heyes FAusIMM

Global Practice Lead Technical Capability, BHP

Joanne holds an honours degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. She has worked in operational, technical, HSE, strategic studies and executive leadership roles in the mining industry for over 25 years. Joanne has experience as a leader in several industry bodies and is an active mentor and advocate for women in the resources industry.

Her current role as the Global Practice Lead Technical Capability, allows her to lead the strategic development and delivery of a robust geoscience and resource engineering talent pipeline for BHP.
