Katie Charuga

Director of Integrated Operations, Fortescue.

Katie Charuga is the Director of Integrated Operations at Fortescue, responsible for leading our Port, Rail, Central Services, Energy, HIVE, Integrated Planning and Resource Definition teams. 

Katie joined Fortescue in 2010 in the Health, Safety and Risk team and has held several General Manager positions across the business including establishing our Eliwana Operations from the ground up. With 20 years’ experience in the mining industry, Katie prides herself on leading high performing teams and empowering her leaders to drive innovation and efficiency across operations. Katie was in the 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining list in 2020 and in 2021 won the 40 under 40 award. Katie holds a Bachelor of Communications from Murdoch University.
