Steve van Barneveld

Executive General Manager, APAC, Sedgman.

Steve has more than 35 years’ experience across the resources and infrastructure sectors internationally. 

Steve re-joined Sedgman in 2016 having worked for the company previously from 1987 to 2010. Steve is responsible for leading the business in Australia and Pacific. His experience at Sedgman includes roles as General Manager, Australia West, General Manager, Strategy and Growth; Chief Operating Officer; and Principal Engineer. From 2013 to 2016 he worked as a consultant for Sedgman and focused on the development of key projects to build our reputation and experience in the Americas and Southern Africa. Between 2005 until 2010 Steve was responsible, as COO, for the successful delivery of studies, engineering, projects and operations in Australia and the diversification of services into Africa, Mongolia and South America.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Minerals Technology (University of Otago) and is a Non-Executive Director of Jameson Resources Limited (ASX:JAL) and SolGold PLC (LSE:SOLG; TSX:SOLG).
