The New Professionals Network is thrilled to open nominations for our upcoming 2025 ambassador team. You will be working alongside our exceptional existing ambassadors.
What is the New Professionals Network?
The AusIMM New Professionals Network is a vibrant and inclusive community that represents, connects, and upskills people who are in the first five years of their careers in the resource sector.
We help our members advance their professional development and bring our community together through engaging events, dedicated networking opportunities and the sharing of valuable content.

What does it mean to be a NPN ambassador?
New Professionals Network ambassadors will be responsible for propelling the mission of the group forward – to support resources professionals at the start of their careers. This involves assisting with organising NPN events, speaking engagements on behalf of the Network, and helping raise general awareness.
The ambassadors will be involved in a range of activities including but not limited to:
• Event organisation, facilitation, and activation
• Coordinating with Student Chapters to ensure there is an appropriate industry presence at Student Meets Industry events
• Raise AusIMM’s profile as the home for resources professionals
• Representing the NPN at a variety of events (local branch, Congress & New Leaders Summit etc)
• Attending meetings as requested to support AusIMM goals and projects
• Share opportunities for engagement within your network
Who can get involved?
New professionals in the first 5 years of their resources career who have displayed excellence and integrity, or demonstrated innovation, social responsibility, sustainability, and passion for safety.
Candidates for nomination must be financial members of the AusIMM, be passionate about the resources industry and be prepared to actively participate in New Professionals Network subcommittees.
