AusIMM is pleased to announce a new partnership with global specialist sustainability consultancy, ERM, and a renewal of our partnership with testing, inspection, and certification company SGS Australia. Find out more below.

New partnership with ERM

ERM has joined AusIMM as an Industry Partner, and the two organisations will work together promote the latest technical insights on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) in the resources sector.

The partnership includes collaboration on the 2024 Thought Leadership Series, featuring Toby Whincup, Global Director – Critical Minerals & Partner, on the second panel discussion ‘Investing in a Sustainable Future’. This engaging panel will cover how the sector will secure investment to find, develop, and process new minerals projects, and is available to watch on demand now by registering for free.

In partnership with ERM, AusIMM will take the series to London in July to address “The Capital Challenge to Find Mining’s Critical Role” with ERM’s Managing Partner of Global Mining, Louise Pearce, on the panel.

ERM is also part of AusIMM’s upcoming Critical Minerals Conference as a Technical Session Sponsor. The conference is set to welcome a global audience to Brisbane, Australia on 26-28 August to continue the conversation on the significant role of critical minerals in powering the global energy transition.

AusIMM looks forward to working closely with ERM to share the latest sustainability insights to help upskill our global audience of resources professionals. You can find out more about ERM on their website.

SGS renews partnership with AusIMM

AusIMM is also delighted to share that SGS Australia has renewed its agreement as an Industry Partner for another 12 months.

AusIMM and SGS first signed a partnership in July 2023 to collaborate on a range of industry-related professional development content pieces, including thought leadership articles and webinars. The two organisations will continue to pursue this goal under the re-signed deal, with the content having a particular focus on the role that testing and certification have in upholding professional standards and ensuring a safe, responsible and sustainable resources sector.

SGS will also partner with AusIMM for the 2025  International Women’s Day Event Series, helping celebrate the achievements of women in mining and focus the industry’s efforts on building a more inclusive, supportive culture for the benefit of everyone working in resources.

SGS has also been a supporter of AusIMM’s Critical Minerals conference, being a sponsor for the inaugural event in 2023, and will again sponsor in 2024 and 2025. You can find out more about SGS at their website.
