We are also pleased to advise that incumbent President Nicole Brook FAusIMM has been re-elected President for a second term in 2024.

The new Directors will commence their appointments on 1 January 2024.

A field of eight high-calibre candidates participated in this year’s election. President Nicole Brook said ‘I would like to thank all candidates who nominated for the election and congratulate Joanne and Michelle for their successful election as Directors and Mark for his re-election onto the Board. The quality of the candidates who nominated reflects the willingness of experienced and respected leaders to contribute positively to our long-standing organisation.

‘I look forward to working closely with our Board and Management Team in 2024 as we continue to strengthen and deliver on our strategy to provide world-class professional development for our members and resources professionals globally.’

The newly elected Directors will replace Immediate Past President Dave Clark and Director John Dunlop, whose terms on the Board finish on 31 December 2023.

Dave Clark has served on the Board since 2015. In 2020 he was elected AusIMM President for 2021 and re-elected as President in 2022.

John Dunlop served as an AusIMM Director from 2001-2006 and was elected to the Board for another two terms spanning 2018-2023.

President Nicole Brook expressed her sincere thanks to the outgoing Directors. ‘The experience, expertise and leadership that Dave and John have brought to the Board over many years has been highly valuable in guiding and strengthening AusIMM for the benefit of our members and the sector.

‘John has been a long-standing and active member of AusIMM, not just on the Board but as a leader of numerous Communities of Interest as well. We greatly appreciate his contribution.

‘Dave’s leadership has been deeply appreciated by all Directors, and during his time as President helped ensure AusIMM supported its members during the pandemic while growing its reputation and influence as a modern and inclusive professional association.’
