Sara Prendergast resigns from AusIMM Board
AusIMM Director Sara Prendergast MAusIMM advised the AusIMM Board and Management Team in February that she is resigning as a Director of the Board.
AusIMM President Dave Clark thanked Sara for her years of service since being elected in 2017 and for her significant contributions to AusIMM.
“Sara has a passion for member-focused professional associations that are underpinned by strong strategic direction, inclusive cultures and effective governance controls. This passion, along with her insights during her tenure, have helped AusIMM build out our successful strategy to provide world-class professional development to resources professionals globally.
“Sara has been very courageous and strategic through her involvement with Board processes and a series of other AusIMM forums. As a finance professional, Sara has introduced a level of discipline in several areas, and has brought diversity of thought to our Board.
“Sara’s expertise was greatly appreciated as Chair of AusIMM’s Audit and Risk Committee, helping ensure effective governance and risk management during difficult times. Sara was also Chair of AusIMM’s Council for Diversity and Inclusion, helping AusIMM on our journey to be more inclusive and value diversity of talent and thinking from all backgrounds.
“Her dedication to AusIMM and our members has been evident, even during particularly demanding periods where she has juggled commitments outside her AusIMM role.
