Make 2025 your year!

Would you like:

  • Guidance for your personal and professional development in the resource industry, from someone with a wealth of experience?
  • An opportunity to reflect on professional challenges and achievements?
  • Satisfaction from helping others and contributing to the future success of the profession?
  • A chance to develop your mentoring and leadership skills?

The WIMnet NSW Mentoring Program, now in our eleventh year, aims to support and retain women in the minerals industry and enhance career progression. The Program pairs women seeking guidance and support with more experienced practitioners who are willing to commit time and energy to the professional development of another practitioner.

An Information Session webinar is being held on 4th February 2025, where we will explain the application process and eligibility criteria, how we will match you and how the program works, and answer questions you might have either before or after you apply. You will leave with a clear understanding of what's expected of you as a Mentee or Mentor, and - most importantly - what you can gain by participating. To register click here.

The WIMnet NSW Mentoring Program:

  • Supports women from all parts of the minerals industry and at all stages of career progression
  • Engages senior leaders of the industry (male and female) as mentors
  • Provides one-on-one, tailored mentoring in a structured program with expertly matched, experienced industry mentors who are separated from the mentee’s employer or place of work
  • Includes online platform with extensive resources and enhanced accessibility
  • Additional professional development opportunities for mentees and mentors
  • Provides remarkable opportunities for networking and connection (including face to face events where restrictions permit).

“The WIMnet NSW Mentoring Program put me in the right frame of mind to progress my career forward, with my mentor providing a strong support network. My mentor helped me to unlock goals which I had previously struggled to articulate and aim for. I feel like my career has a clear direction now, as a direct result of the mentoring program”– WIMnet NSW Program mentee
