The AGC represents 8 Australian geoscience societies; the Association of Applied Geochemists, Australian Institute of Geoscientists, Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicist, AusIMM, Geological Society of Australia, IAH Australia, Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia, and the Australia & New Zealand Geomorphology Group.

Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicist is a society for those practicing, studying, or teaching geophysics or a related scientific discipline or have an active interest in the field. Annual membership varies between $100 - $200 and free for students. The nature of members (2020 data) varies from 47 involved with archaeology/ marine salvaging to 286 involved with minerals. Out of 978 members, some 49 are reported to be also AusIMM members.

ASEG Publications include an internationally recognised scientific journal
Exploration Geophysics, and a stimulating news magazine Preview. Take a glance at the range of papers published in Issue 4 "Advances in forward modelling and inversion of geophysical electromagnetic data". Coming up, in Issue 5 will be a special Issue titled "Lithospheric to deposit scale magnetotellurics advancements including AusLAMP in Australia.
