AusIMM Congress 2024

This year, Congress will be held in Perth from October 17th to 18th, 2024, hosted by our Western Australian Communities of Interest under the theme "Connect, Celebrate, Elevate."

Congress is an annual event which brings together representatives from all AusIMM’s Communities of Interest—Branches, Societies, Student Chapters, Networks, Committees, the AusIMM Board, and the Management Team. This forum aims to build and strengthen relationships among members, fostering close collaboration and driving innovations that will shape AusIMM’s future.

To kick off the 2024 Congress, the AusIMM Management Team (AMT) has been engaging with the chairpersons of the COIs, inviting each to prepare a “profile” that will highlight their initiatives, key insights, and developments aligned with AusIMM’s goals and community interests. The Congress Profile compiles each group's efforts in member engagement, professional development, and networking, fostering connections among our global membership. The insights gathered from these Congress Profiles will be instrumental during the Community of Interest Showcase session and will be compiled into a workbook, serving as a valuable reference tool.

The Geoscience Society committee is already discussing potential topics for Congress, including a focus on increasing collaboration between various AusIMM groups and with external partners.
