AusIMM is pleased to congratulate two of our members being elected as directors of AIG: Adele Seymon and Wendy Beets.

AIG is a not-for-profit professional institute representing geoscientists in industry, government and research. AIG is one of three parent bodies of the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC). See http://www.aig.org.au/

Most recently Adele was the CEO of the Copper for Tomorrow Cooperative Research Centre Round 24 Bid, a consortium of 54 partners contributing $94m of cash and in-kind support. This consortium was designed to tackle integration and scale challenges across the copper mining value chain.

I hope to inspire my children to follow their passions in life.

We also congratulate Tim Craske on his appointment.

It is great to see some mining professionals belong to both the AusIMM and AIG, and hope there can be more synergies.
