AusIMM provides support to accelerate careers with the launch of the New Professionals Network

As the peak body for people in the resources sector, AusIMM is officially launching the New Professionals Network in Perth on 15 September 2022 to support young people entering the mining industry during the first five years of their career.

AusIMM’s New Professionals Network is a vibrant and inclusive community that represents, connects, and upskills people who are starting to build their careers in resources. Members of the network will be able to advance their professional development and access valuable content, insightful networking opportunities, and engaging events.

The network is active Australia wide, hosting a calendar of events throughout the year. It provides graduates and young professionals with insights into what makes a successful career and connects them with industry to build their network.

AusIMM CEO Stephen Durkin highlighted the importance of supporting graduates and new professionals with their transition into the industry.

“New professionals are increasingly making important contributions to the industry. The New Professionals Network is a key focus for AusIMM to ensure these young people are well supported and have access to resources at the early stages of their career to set them and the resources industry up for future success.
