The AusIMM Illawarra Branch invites you to join us at our premier networking event for 2019 as we welcome AusIMM President Janine Herzig, FAusIMM(CP), to our region for the first time.
Janine will take us through her unlikely journey into the minerals industry as a metallurgical engineer – from joining the AusIMM in 1991 to her role now as President and Chair of the Board.
Hear about the latest AusIMM direction and strategy directly from Janine, who is passionate about AusIMM's role in being the “Trusted Voice” for ALL minerals professionals in ALL disciplines; from students right through to retirement.
About the Speaker:
Janine Herzig, FAusIMM(CP)
Janine’s 30 years of experience include executive management, consulting, technical and production roles, across base metals, uranium, precious metals and industrial minerals.
She has served on the AusIMM Adelaide Branch Committee for the past 15 years in a variety of leadership roles including Branch Chair, Student Chapter liaison and as a member of the EEF Scholarship Interview Panel. She has also coordinated an informal mentoring program over a number of years for Adelaide-based students studying minerals related courses.
In addition to her role as an AusIMM Director for the past 7 years, Janine has Chaired the Policy and Advocacy Committee and served on a variety of other committees and task forces including numerous AusIMM conference organizing committees, including International Uranium, MetPlant, Mill Ops and World Gold.
Janine believes the strength of AusIMM lies in the diversity of multidisciplinary membership and she is a keen supporter of regional branches and specialty societies
