DT Update – Keeping your account details up to date
How to update your personal details and adjust your preferences.
Updating Your Profile
You can update your personal information from within Your Dashboard, on the Your Profile page. This page contains the following information:
- Password Reset
- Profile Summary
- Membership Summary
- Contact Information
- Professional Information
- Mailing Information

This video covers the scenario of updating your home address. To do so, navigate to the Mailing Information tab towards the bottom of the page and edit your details accordingly. Press the ‘Save Edits’ button to confirm the change.
Adjusting Your Preferences
Within Your Preferences under Your Dashboard, we can update our preferences and visibility settings on the website. In the Privacy tab you will find ‘Share my contact details with other members’, reflecting your preference of being put in contact if another member reaches out; and ‘Include me in the membership directory’, reflecting whether you are visible or hidden in our membership listing. The tab subscriptions relates to your email preferences and Dashboard news feed, both of which are tailored based on your choices in the following fields:
- Primary Discipline
- Areas of Interest
- Resource Interests
- News and Surveys
- Student Chapters
You can adjust any of these interests by pressing the toggle, which will instantly update your selection.
