Invitation from the chair of the AusIMM New Zealand branch to attend PACRIM 2019

Kia Ora. On behalf of the NZ Branch, it is my pleasure to extend an invitation to NZ Members to attend the PACRIM 2019 Congress, 3 -5 April in Auckland, New Zealand.

The PACRIM Congress ‘Mineral Systems of the Pacific Rim’, brings together the most recent advances in mineral systems research and geological understanding, regional surveys and the industry’s latest discoveries and projects to showcase the importance of the Pacific Rim for global mineral wealth and investment.

In lieu of the NZ Branch annual conference, a stream dedicated to New Zealand will be offered on Thursday 4 April. New Zealand Branch members will be able to access a special day rate of NZ$660 which will include a complimentary dinner ticket (valued at NZ$160).

Who should attend?

PACRIM appeals to geologists, geophysicists and geochemists exploring in the Pacific Rim, and to people interested in the mineralisation processes of active tectonic margins as well as those developing the projects which follow discoveries in these regions.

Program highlights

The New Zealand stream features presenters from The University of Otago, OceanaGold and GNS Science show casing the latest think in NZ. A range of interesting NZ field trips are on offer too.

An exciting series of short courses and field trips create a rare opportunity for researchers and minerals professionals to grow their understanding and share experiences on a variety of topics.

Participation in short courses and field trips is not included in the congress registration. Registration is open to all on a first come basis.
