Mining Leaders Congregate in Perth for Conference

Perth will host the premier AusIMM Global Mining Leaders Conference on September 10th and 11th, featuring critical discussions and debate by notable industry luminaries on forces shaping the global resources sector.

Perth will host the premier AusIMM Global Mining Leaders Conference on September 10th and 11th, featuring critical discussions and debate by notable industry luminaries on forces shaping the global resources sector.

Prominent government and industry leaders will share their views on key themes impacting the global sector including globalisation, technical disruption and competitive advantage, providing a unique insight into the challenges our industry is facing as we move into the future.

AusIMM President Colin Moorhead said the impressive line-up of keynote speakers spoke to the importance of the conference to the market.

“The resources industry is a global one, reliant on business mega-trends. Mining professionals are a global workforce, who operate in this often complex environment so events like this are imperative to their professional development.”

AusIMM CEO Stephen Durkin, said that Western Australia had been chosen for its prominence in the international arena.
