South West WA – Branch News – Celebrating 2019 and Our New Calendar of Events

Read the latest Branch News and new Calendar of Events.

We have had a successful reactivation with 11 events in our inaugural year, and we have an even more exciting plans for our Branch in 2020 serving our members from Rockingham to Margaret River and Albany. See our calendar links below.

Before you read on – don’t forget our new take on Tailings Management next week with our presentation on the Screw Press in Bunbury, and for those looking to unwind, registrations have now opened for you to join us on 7th December 2019 to let your hair down, unwind and celebrate the close of 2019 with late afternoon networking drinks overlooking the estate gardens and vineyard vistas, followed by a banquet dinner at the Rivendell Winery Estate, at Yallingup Siding.

Remember our events include networking drinks and snacks, so you can relax, network and get some PD without significant effort or cost. It is a great way to meet like-minded people in our industry and communities.

Next year we have scheduled events on Stakeholder & Community Relations on 6th February and we have the Presidents Dinner and Longstanding Awards presentations on 28th March, and we are currently planning our next Mining, Processing & Wining all-day event to complement our successful Iluka tour that we had on 6th September.

We are thinking about having more social activities and looking for your ideas on what would stimulate more member interest. If you have any ideas or would like to present/contribute to a technical or social event or even get some leadership/mentoring training by our committee, please contact us at or 0429-834-912.
