Digital Tech Talk Overview
COVID-19 is fundamentally testing every aspect of the global mining industry. In this discussion, Dr Moffat will share current insights about how the pandemic is affecting relationships with communities, the role of companies in supporting communities under testing conditions, what community engagement looks like when key mechanisms are no longer available, and how building resilient communities is about building a strong social licence to operate.
These insights are intended to be food for your own thoughts and come from Voconiq data collected in the last month in more than 30 communities around Australia and Latin America and recent discussions with community engagement teams across Australia managing an unprecedented and fast-moving crisis.
