Registrations close on Monday 2nd of December 2019.

This is an opportunity to celebrate St Barbara’s day and to be involved in your local branch of the AusIMM.  Elections will be held for committee members including the Chair and secretarial roles.  Your nominations are welcome.

The evening will include drinks and hors d’oeuvres at the Stamford Plaza.

The evening will be addressed by our chair person Nikky LaBranche on this years’ events.  She will also provide an outline of the technical program for 2020.


Saint Barbara is the patron Saint of miners and anyone else who deals with explosives.  Saint Barbara was born in the city of Nicomedia now the modern city of Izmit in Turkey in 218AD.  The 4th of December is the long standing date when miners celebrate the year of mining.
