As CEO, Dirk has worked with Chrysos since its inception and has led the company as its CEO since it started operations in January 2017.

A Quick Assay for Gold?

Chrysos Corporation is commercialising the PhotonAssay technology, originally developed by the CSIRO. Based on the principles of photon activation analysis, the method uses a high-energy X-ray source to excite nuclear changes in any gold atoms present in a sample, and then measures a characteristic signature emitted by these atoms.

The process is non-destructive, rapid, highly specific and capable of providing a true-bulk analysis of samples, weighing 0.5kg or more.
