The 14th Australasian Tunnelling Conference 2011 brought
together leaders in the field and explored new developments in technology, as
well as looking at issues of safety and construction. The papers in the
proceedings cover projects in New Zealand, Australia, China and Europe. Tunnel
boring machines and their use feature and other themes include Environmental
Challenges and Risk, Excavation by all Means, Hydropower, Fire and Life Safety,
Geotechnical, Ground Support and Road and Rail Transport.
