The Australian metallurgical processing industry has shown great innovation and progressiveness over the past ten years._x000D_
During the same period, exploration activity, particularly by Australian companies, has increased substantially in Indonesia. Following feasibility studies, the decision was made to establish a metallurgical laboratory and design facility in Indonesia. An Indonesian partner was selected, and legal and corporate matters were determined. The laboratory was established but proved far more difficult than a similar undertaking in Australia. Australian and Indonesian staff were recruited and training programs, including training of Indonesian staff in Australia, were implemented. Difficulties of operating in Indonesia included:_x000D_
