A Survey of Gravity Concentration of Gold in Western Australia
Gravity concentration of gold is an important facet of gold processing technology in Western Australia. While great interest has been directed at gold leaching technology and considerable developments achieved, gravity concentration has received much less attention and this paper provides an update on the current practice and developments that have been achieved in recent years._x000D_
A survey of 72 gold processing plants in Western Australia was conducted in 1991 and some 31 questionnaires were returned for analysis._x000D_
Of these, 19 plants were using gravity concentration and this paper highlights some of the features of these operations.
