Expert Systems and Experts in Thermochemical Modeling of Extractive Metallurgical Processes
Integrated chemical thermodynamic software and computerised databank systems have evolved over the last 15 years. The extent to which these systems have automated thermodynamic calculations relevant to extractive metallurgy is examined. The scope for further automation and the role of the expert consultant is discussed.
